What Zolo is
Zolo connects you directly with local restaurants, fresh-market stores and mess kitchens. The shop prepares your order, delivers it with its own riders, and collects payment on delivery. Zolo charges no commission and does not process payments.
Your account
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your details accurate, and use Zolo only for personal, lawful purposes in the UAE. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or repeated no-shows.
Orders and prices
When you order from a verified merchant, your order is sent to the merchant, who confirms and prepares it; totals are calculated by Zolo from the merchant's listed prices. For unverified merchants, Zolo helps you send an enquiry on WhatsApp — those prices are indicative and the merchant sets the final total. Weighed items (fish, meat) are estimated up front and priced after weighing.
Delivery
Delivery is made by the merchant or a rider they arrange. Delivery times shown in Zolo are observed medians from past orders — a guide, not a promise.
Payment
You pay the merchant directly on delivery, in cash or by card where the merchant offers it. Zolo never stores or processes your payment details.
Cancellations and problems
You can cancel an order before the merchant starts preparing it. If something is wrong, use Report a problem on the order — we review every report, and repeated problems affect a merchant's standing on Zolo.
Reviews and conduct
You may review orders you actually received. Reviews must be honest and respectful. We remove content that is abusive, fake or unlawful, and may restrict accounts that post it.
Liability and governing law
Merchants are solely responsible for preparing your order and for their food-safety and licensing obligations. Zolo provides the platform "as is" and, to the extent the law allows, is not liable for a merchant's acts or omissions. These terms are governed by the laws of the UAE, with the courts of Abu Dhabi having jurisdiction.
